Welcome to Fortscribe!
We are a bastion
for true free thinkers, inventors and conservatives. In our archives,
you will find the work of others who want to share with you part of
their inventive spirit. Some share their knowledge of science, some of
history and many just want to debunk the liberal myths that pervade our
society.
OUR MISSION
Iranian nukes, redistribution of wealth, economic collapse, Chinese communists, South-American dictators, widespread failure of our education system and the loss of the American inventive spirit. Times are dark. The coming of the Dark One who promises change still leaves many of us uneasy.
In these troubling times some look for hope in a demigod, some distract themselves with feel good lifestyles and other good people just work hard each day while forces outside their control try to play with their lifestyles.
Whatever fate brought you to Fortscribe today, know that we welcome you. The people who have made this country great seldom have time to spend their lives with distractions such as politics or social engineering. They want to spend their lives in the pursuit of their own visions or ideas. They end up helping people along their journey, they don't need some sociological experiment to force them to live appropriately. This free and responsible pursuit for our own meaning in life comes in many forms and is found along many paths but it we have a name for it. Its called liberty.
Unfortunately, as the expression goes, freedom is not free. Liberty is under constant assault by those who twist the definitions of law and corrupt the spirit of truth we hold dear. The rules that these recreants use to govern their actions are capricious at best, barbaric at worst. To them Truth and good are relative things, arbitrarily created by man to suit his purposes. Those who lead in this philosophy decide for themselves what is acceptable conduct and if they decide forcing others to fall in line is justified then beware. History is full of figures who offer change and hope as a way to convince others to go along with their vision. By itself this is just persuasion, but when combined with ideals that go against moral absolutes that we hold dear, this sets the stage for tyranny. In the history of our country we have established a set of moral absolutes that is reflected in our founding documents, our religious beliefs and the character of our people.
Continuing to rely on others to defend our liberty is something we can no longer afford. The defense of liberty used to come from principled statesmen, courageous citizens and in times of great need even the otherwise silent majority. Nothing has changed, it still needs all of these defenders. Unfortunately, our Statesmen are now part of the problem; they have become people as qualified to lead as an average citizen. Woe to the day that a Harvard graduate prefers to bowel, play basketball and write children books over reading the documents his job demands he review before laying down the law of the land. How pathetic that a man who exudes the socialist necessity of individuals cutting back for the good of all spends his time in lavish parties eating imported 100$ beef steaks from Japan. The fools among us might be impressed by such lavish displays of indulgence, this meal however leaves the good people of this country sick.
We cannot count on our current leaders to help us by redefining society in their image. We must take the reigns of power back from them with the methods we have at our disposal. As individuals we must unite to confront the lies, educate our fellow man and through with a resolve similar to those who founded this country make our government by the people and for the people once again.
