Diplomacy:

"Obama and Foreign Policy: First Impressions of a God on the World Stage."
-An article by Nero

We need to reach out to the Taliban.
North Korea launched a missile and we don’t care.
Iran’s Nuclear Program continues.
America is responsible for Mexico’s drug problem.
Kicking out Illegal Immigrants is “un-American”.
We don’t like war but we should invade Pakistan.
Pirates hold Americans hostage and we should give more aid to Somalia.
We want to reset relations with Russia, yet don’t take the time to spell-check.
We need to re-open talks with Cuba.
Oh, but Europe loves us.

Listed above has been America’s (or rather, our Lord and Savior Obama’s) major stances on a range on international issues, dealing from Nations that hate us to destroyed Nation-states that would like to kill us. But hey, no worries. We need to reach out to the Taliban, who refused to hand over Osama Bin Laden after the 9-11 Terrorist attacks. We need to chillax while North Korea launches “satellites” yet nothing turns up in Orbit. We need to grin while the United Abomi-nations host a world leader who has denied the Holocaust and has called for Israel’s destruction more times than I can count. And now, when Pirates from a country, split into 3 pieces and the definition of a broken state since the early 90’s, take an American hostage, we apparently don’t think there’s a big problem.

I do not raise these concerns as a warmonger who thinks America must seek out and destroy all of the world’s evil and stupidity (if it was we coulda’ taken out Hollywood a long time ago). I don’t think it’s America’s job to nation-build, as Iraq’s control is debatable and Afghanistan slips closer to anarchy. But I worried before the Living God was elected that he would be the 21st century’s Neville Chamberlain, a man willing to declare “peace in our time” with the dictators and despots of the world, no matter how far he needs to bend over to accomplish this feat.

I have no problem with America trying to build a better image with the International community. But a President once said America should walk softly and carry a big stick. Right now we’re covering our eyes, sticking our fingers into our ears, and running into a wall. When our enemies scoff at international law and put the safety of America, as well as a bunch of other free nations at risk, we don’t care. Apparently we should focus on buying breeds of dog I’ve never heard of and picking North Carolina to win the NCAA Championship. In other words, we should laugh in the face of danger and blindly hope it doesn’t blow up in our faces.

Barack Obama hasn’t even been President for 100 days and he’s already showing the true colors of his party: yellow. He doesn’t care about the danger that exists in the world, but calls for an international response to correct the world’s problems. I have news for him: it’s not the world’s job to protect America, it’s HIS. He’s the commander and chief, he’s the one the majority of this country trusted with their safety after declaring George Bush public enemy number one. Someone should let him know that that came with the job description (or maybe just put it on his teleprompter).
