Obama Healthcare Forum:

Check out this Obama Healthcare forum from August 20, 2009.  Just turn it on and scroll down through our comments while you listen to our glorious leader!

PART I:

Introduction - Nothing to say here.  I advise skipping to part two so you can get to Obama's speech quicker.

PART II:

-5:00 doesn't seem like a very big "forum."  More like a studio stage with canned "yes we can."

-8:55 "Sweeping economic recovery program that has" - not yet worked since more people are still losing their jobs.

-9:24 - Really, working on roads, bridges and hospitals? Exactly the sort of highly sought after jobs that typify a socialist paradise. Too bad even more people are filing for jobless claims as referenced above. I guess "stabilization" means, stable decline?

PART III:

-0:49 - Make sure women are treated the same way as men, by treating them to the loss of their jobs.

-1:09 - No you haven't, you are torturing me.

-2:09 - You don't say? It does seem that one loud mouth voice does tend to drown out sensible people.

-2:17 - How about millions of people actually taking responsibility and creating their own opportunities?

-4:18 - The same goal we have. Cut through nonsense about health care, your nonsense.

-4:40 A) How do you respond to immigration analysts that say the legislation is "missing mechanisms to keep illegals out of the system." They say there is a loophole here that illegals can exploit and if they do the taxpayers will have to pay for this. So while its technically true that the bill doesn't pay for illegals, it leaves open a very gaping hole that would result in the same negative outcome.

-4:47 C) Yes, everyone I know believes that ALL of the money you collect will be spent on abortion.  You really nailed our complaint.   It was wrong for some of us hesitate about creating an entitlement that requires spending money on a procedure that 95% of the time is not based in medical necessity or socially difficult situations such as rape.  Not to mention, for many of us, abortion is evil and we don't want to finance ANY of it.

-5:07 - Come on, is that the best you can do?  I realize that this may be a crude reference, but your advanced rhetoric kind of reminds me of this clip of Jimmy from South Park.

-6:22 - Until they say no thanks, "I am not going to work my butt off for a pittance. I am not going to put up with being told how to run their practice by idiots who can't differentiate an inhaler from a "breathalyzer/inhalator" and still be liable for outrageous lawsuits from ambulance chasers."

-6:48 - Can I choose the option where I don't pay or take your F.U.B.A.R. plan? I don't want to waste my money on greedy doctors who will be forced to see 60 patients a day to make ends meet. I don't want to waste my time waiting in line for services that used to be readily available before some dolts started coming in for two for one deals on checkups.

-6:56 - Well if I don't have insurance already will I be forced to get it? When the corporations that supported you dump their policies to save money, will we then be forced to enroll in this plan? You can go to hell if you expect me to work one day to pay for this while your buddies sit on their asses and live off everyone else? You may have risen to power knaves, but don't think it absolute.

PART IV:

-2:15 - So with Obamacare why will we need medicare? Obamacare is going to be top quality care right?

-3:11 - Because every time you try to pass this you include garbage that nobody wants. Have you ever thought about listening to people instead of engineering a system that will make people even more dependent on the government for their needs?

-3:27 - Like your friends?

-4:26 - Thanks for doing your job magnificent leader. We are humbled that you would come before us to explain the laws you indeed to levy on us. We are not worthy of such notice. Please do not take too much time away from your trip to Martha's Vineyard. We exist only to serve you eternally in the Field of Reeds.

-7:47 - Which is why members of congress voted unanimously to drop their current insurance plan and enroll in this new one.

-7:54 - So you will force me to enroll in this plan, tax me to pay for this plan and then help me afford the premiums? How generous.

-8:05 - Unless you lose your current insurance or are uninsured already.

-8:55 - Is that right? Why do the insurance companies back you then?
